Introducing our new Menu at WestBeach
You’ll find our beachfront location is still the best place to enjoy the finer things in life with the launch of our new Winter menu. The style remains the same – modern classics and fresh, local produce, outstanding service, and the bright, airy surroundings of our open-plan dining room – with the unbeatable view of Bournemouth Beach, of course. These are the reasons we’ve won accolades from Waitrose Good Food Guide to The Sunday Times, who named us one of the best seafood restaurants in the South.
With our new menu, we celebrate our reputation for gourmet dining, fresh seafood, local shellfish and fine wines. Our Head Chef Marcin Pacholarz continues to work his magic in the kitchen, experimenting with flavour combinations here, keeping things simple there – and always letting the quality of the produce shine through.
In a hurry? Drop in for our Quick Lunch Menu from 12 to 3.30pm. No need to decipher an elaborate menu here – just pick from a selection of hearty but healthy seafood main courses – all of them under £15. Go back to (gourmet) basics with a simple fish finger sandwich, or try our legendary beer battered fish and chips for something more substantial. And if you really fancy a taste of the South Coast, it’s got to be our WestBeach fish pie.
We also serve an A La Carte Menu every day from 12 to 3pm and from 6 to 9pm Monday to Friday / Saturday 12-4pm & 6 - 9.30pm / Sunday 12 to 4pm. Treat someone special, bring the family, or show clients why Bournemouth is best with our extensive range of seafood dishes. We’re proud of our elegant dining room and impeccable service, but we also like to keep things relaxed, making WestBeach an ideal spot to linger over a long lunch.
For starters, you can choose from some exquisite seafood dishes, including scallops with curried celeriac puree,, pickled fennel & pomegranate salad, WestBeach classic moules mariniere, or mussels in Red Thai curry sauce. It’s not all shellfish, though. our Dorset pork cheeks, truffled parsnip puree, apple chutney & sherry wine jus is proving a hit with our regular customers, and we have gone the extra mile for our vegetarian diners with our wild mushrooms & smoked Dorset arancini.
Because you’d only ever really want to order shellfish from a restaurant that stakes its reputation on seafood, we source some of the freshest shellfish on the coast. Why not indulge yourself with the WestBeach Sharing Platter – Poole Bay oysters, razor clams, cockles, jumbo prawns, and cold dressed crab?
We also do separate servings of Poole Bay rock oysters, Christchurch lobster, and South Coast dressed crab, each one infused with wonderful marine flavours and prepared to perfection.
Our main courses are refined but unpretentious. Try our award winning fish and chips, or our delicious sea bream fillet, finished in clams & fish broth with pink fur potatoes & Jerusalem artichokes, samphire. Also new to the menu is a Turbot fillet, Chorizo, sun dried tomato, capers orzotto & sprouting broccoli. Or treat your taste buds to a succulent rib eye steak. The dish we are most proud of this season has to be our mouthwatering Risotto all Milanese, Wild mushrooms & crispy kale dish - it leaves you wanting more.
Room for dessert? Our guests typically find the inspiration. Round off your fine dining experience with a choice of local Purbeck ice creams, cheese board, or our selection of rich, luxurious puddings - traditional apple, pear & raison crumble, white chocolate bread & butter pudding, or our chocolate delice with pistachio dust & coconut ice cream.
